The innocence of youth

Ula was not around when the world was almost destroyed. Like her peers she had heard about it sat at the foot of their elders in class.

What she does know is that all Trawlers are sworn enemies to her people. They killed one of the founding fathers who helped establish their place up here upon the mutant trees.

The trees were developed in a last-ditch effort to save the earth, they grow tall, are indestructible, and are bountiful with fruits.

But the course of her life changes forever when she falls from her home on the Trellence all the way to Crawlers level.

No one has ever survived the fall and made it back the same.

The dreaded white fever which lurks below turns its victims into zombies. If white fever doesn’t kill her surely the wild beasts which lurk below will.

She must use all of her wits to survive from the perils that await her but her fortunes change when she comes across an arch enemy.

She should kill him, all her instinct says to end his life but she must decide whether his life is worth her survival.
